The shop is, however, much more than a place to buy things, it’s a meeting place and a community resource. As well as a range of post office services, it provides information about events, activities and services, internet access and a photocopying and printing service for customers.
You will be amazed by the range, quantity and quality of products available, many locally sourced. Why not call in and see what we have to offer?
The shop is run primarily by volunteers, over 50 villagers staff the shop for more than 45 hours per week. Working in the shop is a great way to get to know people and help is always needed.
At first we occupied a portakabin in the village car park but in 2012, thanks to a highly successful fundraising programme, we raised enough money to buy some land next to the village hall and build our own purpose built shop which opened in February 2013.
